Sensible Spending

Every day, each of us has to make decisions about how to spend our money. As Commissioner, Ron Wesen will have to decide how to spend OUR money.

Ron Wesen will employ common sense to make community investments. As commissioner, Ron Wesen will oversee county expenditures to make sure that these are wise investments in our common future. He will demand the same of our other commissioners and county staff.

Ron Wesen will assure that we develop the infrastructure we need and can afford. We just learned from WDOT that the I-5 bridge over the Skagit River cannot be enlarged; it will have to be replaced at many times the cost of an upgrade. Ron Wesen will oversee state expenditures in Skagit, as well as county investments – to make sure future generations have the same high quality of life that we enjoy.

Ron Wesen will assure that we manage community change in a way that keeps this an affordable rural county with vibrant cities and healthy businesses. One of the things we can count on is change. As commissioner, Ron Wesen will make decisions that assure our high quality of life. We will change, but not at the expense of our current industries and residents.
